ABOUT THIS ROLE
The Partnership Reporting Business Analyst is responsible for working with the business to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that deliver business intelligence, provide analytical insight, and improve process execution and performance. They employ a data centric approach to solve business problems. They extract, process, and analyze large datasets and have the business acumen and the operational mindset to provide effective solutions.
Accountability & Supporting Activities:
Business Partner & Analyst
- Work with business representatives, and partner clients as required, to assess data and analytical needs, prioritize objectives and understand pain points for the clients or functions supported
- Facilitate interpretation and decision making using supporting data
- Contribute to relevant projects and initiatives in support of data discovery and value add insights, effectively communicating progress to stakeholders
Data Expert
- An understanding of relevant data used in assessing the analysis required and how to source it
- An understanding of the relationship between the relevant data and processes supporting the required analysis
- Understand dataflows and integrations between systems
- Understand basic data modeling and familiarity with large, often disparate, data sets and their joins
Deliver strategic analytic solutions
- Support requirements gathering, documentation, development, deployment, communication, and training on assigned projects
- Utilize the best available, or most suitable, technologies when providing solutions
- Support delivery and enhancement of existing solutions
Ad-hoc analysis and support
- Support evolving business needs via ad-hoc data analysis or business intelligence requests
- Provide analysis, perspective, answer questions and provide guidance as needed
Leadership
- Support departmental and organizational initiatives as required

- Some knowledge of Statistical Analysis techniques
Knowledge and Experience:
- Some experience performing in information-based business or analyst roles
- A general understanding of clinical research and some experience in clinical research services
- An understanding and some experience working with data in a domain relevant to clinical research services
Education:
- A bachelor’s degree in a related discipline desired (life science, business, engineering, computer science, math/statistics, etc.)
- MBA or an advanced degree in a related discipline is a plus
