As a part of the Monitoring Functions team at Vitesco Technologies’ Central Engineering division, you will be at the heart of our efforts to ensure the safety of tomorrow’s electric drivetrains.
At our Iasi location, the MF team is the place where ASIL and ISO standards hit bear metal – rigorous attention to detail and a keen eye for spotting pitfalls will ensure your code will become your legacy - standing the test of time, used daily by millions, ensuring incident-free operation of electric drive-trains across all continents. In this line of work, every line of code must have its clear purpose, every nibble of data changed must be done so with great respect towards potential consequences; failure at this level is simply not an option.
We organize ourselves in Agile Teams, providing innovative and cost-effective solutions for our partners over the entire electric drive-train market: from batteries, to DC-DC converters and inverters, all the way to electric motors.
Your tasks will include:
- Developing and integrating AutoSAR components and/or complex Device Drivers used for ensuring:
- Processor Integrity (safety-relevant hardware self-tests: for example, RAM/ROM memory protection/integrity)
- Functional Integrity (DC-DC / Inverter / Battery Control supervision)
- WatchDog Handling (external WD interaction: functional & window tests)
- Error Reaction Monitoring (ShutoffPathTests & shut off path redundancy)
- Following a predefined process based on the ASPICE standard
- Following coding rules such as MISRA 2012, implementation guidelines, as well as other automotive standards such as ISO26262
- Analyzing customer requirements
- Being a proactive part of a multicultural Agile Team

Job Requirements:
Must Have:
- University Degree in a relevant field or relevant experience
- Experience with microcontrollers & electronics
- Experience with embedded software development
- Experience with debugging and root cause analysis
- ANSI C proficiency
- Organized, clean work ethic
- Advanced English skills
Nice to Have:
- AUTOSAR knowledge
Familiarity with lab equipment: debuggers, emulators, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes
