Located in the heart of Luxembourg, this human-sized entity of approximately 20 professionals is seeking an experienced Senior Risk Officer to join their team. Responsibilities:

As a Senior Risk Officer, you will play a vital role in the risk management process for tradable and alternative assets, focusing on private equity and real estate portfolios. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting risk identification, measurement, monitoring, and reporting for various risk categories (market, liquidity, operational, credit, counterparty) related to the portfolio.
  • Acting as a subject matter expert on risk management, collaborating with internal control functions and stakeholders.
  • Participating in transaction evaluations and engaging with key stakeholders such as board members, investment advisers, and consultants.
  • Organizing and managing projects to implement and enhance risk assessment techniques and risk modeling.
  • Assisting with regulatory compliance, including CSSF Circulars, AIFMD, ESMA guidelines, and conducting counterparty due diligence.
  • Conducting ad hoc research on risk management techniques and economic topics.
  • Preparing risk management reports for submission to the regulator.
  • Communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders on risk management matters.

Profile:

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in law, economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the financial industry.
  • Fluency in English and French, with proficiency in an additional language being a plus.
  • Experience working with international clients.
  • Strong autonomy and versatility in managing tasks and responsibilities.
