Tiger of Sweden is a Stockholm-based fashion house established in 1903 with a heritage in tailoring. Tiger of Sweden is now looking for a Product Analyst to join our Buying & Merchandising Team.

Purpose

The main purpose of the Product Analyst role is to support both the Planning & Buying team and the Product team with relevant analysis and tools to make fact-based decisions in the collection development process. By providing data and insight on collection performance, the Product Analyst acts as the key partner to Planning & Buying manager in the range planning of upcoming collections. Moreover, the Product Analyst supports the Planning & Buying Manager in setting up ToS general price strategy.

Main responsibilities

  • Range planning - Responsible to gather data, provide insights through analysis, and is the key partner to Planning & Buying Manager in developing the range plan
  • Collection development - Provides all data and analysis required throughout the collection development process as well as creating tools to support product developers
  • Product performance analysis - Support Planning & Buying Manager and Product Director with ad hoc analysis and presentations
  • Pricing - Supports Planning and Buying Manager in setting up a general pricing strategy for all product groups and preparing target margin discussions

Other responsibilities

  • Responsible for creating clear business cases when starting a new concept/product group or canceling concepts/product groups
  • Assists/Owns the preparation of data required to identify the number of styles and options, capsule splits, price points, margin structure & hierarchy based on brand strategy and market demands
  • Reviewing the NOOS assortment
  • Running product lifecycle analyses with priority on focus product groups as a basis for carryover decisions
  • Gathers, analyses, concludes, and shares learning and recommendations in all stages of the product development process, with the objective to continuously improve it further
  • Shares tools like product lifecycle analysis and Boston matrix across the organization

Qualifications, experiences, and skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in any analytic field, or 3 years of relevant work experience in the industry
  • A clear understanding of financial measurements which could include: Sales, Gross margin, Currency rates
  • Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English

Desirable

  • Working knowledge of the fashion industry in conjunction with different channels of distribution
  • Other language skills (Swedish, Danish, Polish, etc.)

Tools and systems

  • SAP Business analytic
  • Strong competence in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Powerpoint is a must
  • Experience with ERP systems
  • M3 Infor

This position reports to the Head of Buying and Merchandising, it is full-time employment, temporary until November 2024, and the role is based at HQ, Stockholm.
