What you will do
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Native Android Developer to join our talented team. As a Senior Android Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality and performant native Android applications using Java and Kotlin. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement robust and scalable native Android applications.
- Take ownership of the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in Java and Kotlin, ensuring code quality and adherence to best practices.
- Implement innovative features and functionalities that enhance the user experience.
- Work closely with UI/UX designers to create visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces.
- Optimize application performance, responsiveness, and efficiency.
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality and maintainability.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Android trends, frameworks, and technologies, and evaluate their potential for integration into our applications.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues, identifying and implementing effective solutions.
Requirements and technical skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as a Native Android Developer, with expertise in Java and Kotlin.
- Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes.
- Solid understanding of mobile app development best practices, including UI/UX design principles, performance optimization, and memory management.
- Experience with third-party libraries and APIs commonly used in Android development.
- Familiarity with backend technologies and APIs, and the ability to collaborate with backend developers for seamless integration.
- Knowledge of version control systems such as Git.
- Solid understanding of software development principles, including object-oriented programming and design patterns.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical team members.
- A portfolio of Android applications developed independently or as part of a team is highly desired.
