Role Description
The Security Sales Specialist is responsible for providing compelling solutions to Customers and our Channel Partners to drive new business for the company and align business growth with customer needs and Lyrical’s business strategy. Working closely with the Head of Sales, this role is critical to the continued success of Lyrical Security and its partners. The Security Sales Specialist demonstrates advanced knowledge of cybersecurity and I.T. solutions to align customer needs with Lyrical offerings.
Responsibilities
The Security Sales Specialist serves an important role supporting strategic growth for the company. This position drives sales, partner enablement, and helps to build and maintain an effective Channel Partner Program.
Competency:
- Quickly develop deep understanding of Lyrical’s offerings and forward-leading security concepts
- Ability to elicit Customer needs and align Lyrical's services to translate value to Channel partners and Customers.
Partner Enablement:
- Prepare, enhance, and deliver partner enablement training to educate channel partners in seeking, qualifying, and positioning Lyrical’s offerings to customers. Includes 1:1 enablement with high-potential sales representatives.
Selling:
- Prospect, develop, sell and close business into customers across North America through channel partners and/or direct sales engagement.
- Engage with customers on sales calls to effectively align Lyrical solutions with prospective customer needs. Address customers’ stated needs and work to uncover new or expanded opportunities.
- Be a persistent sales hunter: build, maintain & foster longstanding partner and/or customer relationships while seeking new and/or expanded business.
- Manage and elevate the Sales engagement process, with tight control over each stage of the lifecycle.
- Develop, follow, and enhance plans for key partner sales representatives, territories, and strategic accounts.
- Manage pipeline and KPI’s to ensure you drive results consistently and are well-positioned for long-term success.
Channel Program:
- Work with Lyrical Head of Sales and Lyrical Business Operations to design, develop, launch, and support structured Channel Programs for key partners
- Develop, follow, and enhance growth plans for key strategic channel partners. Measure performance and recommend improvements to accelerate growth.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in direct/channel sales and/or solutions architecture in cyber security, technology, compliance, and/or managed service industry as a sales representative and/or solutions engineer
- Previous experience and track record of success, selling information security systems, network security, information security and/or managed services.
- Strong technical acumen (information security and technology, technology services, networking).
- Passionate about customer service, tenacious, and self-motivated to drive high performance independently.
- Exceptional creativity and collaboration skills, able to find win-win solutions – even in uncertain circumstances.
Compensation: Variable (base + commission). $90-100K Base, $180-200K OTE.
Location: Remote based in Canada
